For National Museum of Natural History's Narwhal exhibit, the museum wanted to showcase underwater recordings of Narwhal song made by their researchers, but also wanted sound to give visitors a sense of Arctic nature, and to describe the constant change in Narwhal habitats.

MorrowSound built the exhibits' recordings into spatial stories that alternately plunged into the sea and came up onto the shore. Below water, we hear narwhal's otherworldly vocalizations between the snapping and creaking of glacial movement. Above water, we hear Arctic birds, fierce winds, ice melting, and the glassy sparkle of ice flows.
